Good Bad Ugly® Benchmarking
The Good, the Bad & the Ugly® of the Accounting Profession is the leading benchmarking report and practice improvement guide for Australian accounting firms. The annual Good Bad Ugly® benchmarking survey is the industry’s largest and longest running. The resulting Good Bad Ugly® reports serve two main purposes as: (1) A benchmarking study analysing the financial performance, work practices and management trends within Australian accounting firms; and (2) Detailed firm improvement guides outlining ‘how to’ strategies for enhancing the performance of any accounting firm.
Survey responses are received each year from many hundreds of accounting firms across Australia, including city, suburban and regional firms ranging from small sole practitioner firms to large second tier multi-partner firms. The benchmarking data now also includes a unique metric called The Efficiency Factor™ which is a single measure summarising firm performance across 11 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that impact significantly on a firm’s efficiency and profitability.
