HowNow® Organisation Screen

Easy Staff Directory
The Organisation screen in HowNow® Knowledge Manager is where your team can view on the left of the screen:
- Your Organisation Chart of who reports to whom, or
- A list of everyone in your firm, grouped by Teams, or
- A simple alphabetical list of everyone in your firm.
Clicking on a team member in the list on the left of the screen displays at the top of the screen, that person's details:
- Name
- Position(s)
- Photograph (very helpful during induction)
- Email address (a mailto hyperlink)
- Telephone extension
- Mobile number (optional display)
- Home number (optional display)
- Home address (optional display)
- Birthday (year of birth not shown)
- Mentor within the firm (if applicable)
The Organisation screen provides a very quick to use and easy to maintain staff directory. No more need for anyone to run around the office with a new list of names and telephone extensions when a team member joins or leaves the firm. However, if you do need a printed copy, the Team Contact List can be printed with a few clicks.
'My Procedures Manual' for Each Person
The Organisation screen also displays a list of every procedure and document that is associated with that person's position(s) in the firm. When a person views the Organisation screen, their name is automatically selected on the left of the screen and their list of documents is displayed.
This list is the equivalent of their own personal 'My Procedures Manual' with the added benefit that the list of documents all link to the master versions of the approved, up-to-date and compliant documents in HowNow®. A keyword search can further filter this list of documents so that the right document is only seconds away.
When a new team member is added to HowNow® and they are assigned a position type (e.g. Office Manager), all procedures and documents associated with that position are automatically linked to that person's position in the Organisation screen. The position (list of documents associated with that position) can then be customised further for that person by adding or removing procedures from their position.
